The tradition of hosting a performance on the stage of Teatro alla Scala by students of the La Scala Academy, led by a highly experienced maestro, is renewed this year—from Saturday, September 6th to Friday, September 19th—with Rossini's "La Cenerentola" featuring the Academy Orchestra, under the expert musical direction of Gianluca Capuano. The performance enlivens a historic production by Jean Pierre Ponnelle (revived by Federica Stefani). The many roles in Rossini's entertaining opera are performed by soloists from the Teatro alla Scala Advanced Course for Opera Singers.
